Our growth is made possible by the dedicated team of hundreds behind the scenes. From software developers and product managers to designers and strategists, Team UI is driven to achieve our common goal: Rethinking IT.
Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Assist in the design and development of power converter products, including AC to DC (Rectifiers/PFC) and DC to AC (Inverters) systems.
- Prototyping & Assembly: Perform hands-on PCBA soldering (SMD/DIP) and hardware assembly for prototype units.
- Testing & Measurement: Utilize oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and other lab equipment to verify circuit performance and capture electrical waveforms.
- Waveform Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analysis of switching waveforms to identify design issues such as voltage spikes, ringing, or thermal inefficiencies.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Troubleshoot hardware failures and design flaws by correlating physical measurements with theoretical calculations to find root causes.
- Documentation: Prepare technical reports, test plans, and BOM (Bill of Materials) documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or a related field, with a strong academic focus on Power Electronics.
- Practical Experience:
- Direct experience in designing AC/DC or DC/AC power converters (either through industry internships, senior design projects, or thesis research).
- Proficiency in circuit simulation tools (e.g., PSIM, PSpice, LTspice).
- Technical Skills:
- Hands-on Mastery: Skilled in using an oscilloscope for signal integrity and power stage debugging.
- Soldering: Proficient with soldering irons for component replacement and PCB modifications.
- Analytical Mindset: Demonstrated ability to interpret complex waveforms and translate data into actionable design improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of magnetic component design (transformers/inductors).
- Familiarity with digital control implementation using MCUs or DSPs.
- Basic understanding of EMI/EMC suppression techniques and safety standards (UL/IEC/CE).
