About the role
Ubiquiti Pilsen office is looking for a QA Engineer to assess software quality through manual testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs or UI/UX issues in web and mobile apps. You will be in touch with our R&D departments and users from different countries around the world. We´re looking for a reliable team player with (at least) basic knowledge of computer networks. We expect you to bring your enthusiasm and creativity wherever you go and put them in the work you do. You should be able to think out of the box when finding solutions to brand new problems and make things work when the solution is not straightforward. This position is suitable for graduates too.
Candidates should be prepared to work from our Pilsen office at least three times per week.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and analyzing system specifications
- Reporting and documenting technical issues
- Analyzing community reports and reproducing reported bugs
- Support developers with bug reproducing, retesting bugfixes, testing new features
- Search for possible improvements
- Communication with development teams
- Monitoring of issues from the Ubiquiti community forum
- Willingness to learn new things on a regular basis
Knowledge and experience
Must have:
- 2+ years of experience testing modern Web and Mobile applications
- Strong computer network knowledge (TCP/IP protocols and services)
- Responsibility, accuracy, focus on detail
- Analytical mind and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English (daily basis in written form) and Czech
- Base knowledge of Unix/Linux (shell commands, ssh)
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of version control systems (git)
- Experience in performance testing
- Experience in programming
- Bash scripting
