Technical Support Engineer - EdgeMax

The Position

We are looking for a talented network support engineer to join our growing support team. The main focus of this position will be to assist our customers when troubleshooting product issues. This position will be focused on supporting our EdgeMax product line. Successful candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a high degree of analytical and investigative skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound support tickets.
  • Maintain our Help Center documentation.
  • Actively participate in our product support forums.
  • Train and collaborate with front line support agents.
  • Work with product development teams to diagnose issues, assist with QA duties and communicate customer feedback.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience with TCP/IP and network architecture (CCNA level experience preferred).
  • Knowledge/understanding of Linux(CLI) and tools such as tcpdump, iperf, etc.
  • Must be familiar with advanced routing and switching concepts such as: Firewall Rules, OSPF, BGP, VPN, etc.
  • Vyatta or EdgeRouter configuration experience is preferred.
  • Absolutely must be a self-starter and highly motivated to get things done.
  • Able to keep up in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.
